Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

I love Hunan. Great service and the best Chinese in the area. You really can't go wrong when choosing a place to eat. I really can't say enough good things about this place. Although when you order a soda the bring you a glass of ice and a 16oz bottle. Which is good or bad, depending on how you look at it. I just stick with water. The hostess is always a delight and is great to talk to. I've never had a bad meal from this place. Often times I find that I order too much food and end up taking it home. Large portions for a good price, although they offer great lunch deals. Choose this place over the buffet.

Hunan Garden is hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant. The food is always great. And the service is usually pretty fast. Sweet & Sour Chicken or General Tso's Chicken is usually what I get. The egg rolls and crab Rangoon is amazing also! It's great for lunch and for take out (which is what we are doing tonight). Stop in and check it out, you won't regret it!

This isn't what I would call fantastic Chinese food, but it is definitely the best in Mount Vernon. They have several dishes that I would recommend, including the Sautéed Green Beans with Shrimp, Beef with Garlic Sauce and General Tso Chicken.

I'm officially done with this place. My last review spoke about not getting what I expected..... Ah, sweet irony alas we meet again. Last time my Wor Sue Gai was not at all what I was expecting. So, I figure this time I'll just get some pork fried rice take out to eat while I do my laundry. As I am halfway down the carton of my dinner guess what I find.. What's that, I shrimp you say? No, not a shrimp. Not two shrimp. But, 7 1/2 shrimp. I know, you're thinking cool right? Well it might be cool if you're NOT allergic to seafood!!!!!!!! I just can't win at this place. It's not like the food taste bad it's actually pretty good. Last time there was a language barrier with my waiter this time there's obviously a misunderstanding and my ordering. But I don't understand, I ordered it in person face-to-face in plain English. So now I'm taking four Benadryl's and getting the EpiPen ready. I'm sorry Hunan Garden but I will not be returning

Friendly service. The food is healthy for its type. Wonderful portions of broccoli for dishes containing this vegetable.

We order from here regularly. Hunan beef & fried rice is my favorite. Generous lunch portion at a decent price.

I have been to Hunan Garden a few times and have had some bad experiences with customer service and restaurant cleanliness, but overall the biggest issue is the food quality. The food is very greasy, swimming in sauce (which I really hate), and lacks proper seasoning. There is absolutely NO WAY to get them to make things spicy. No matter how many ways I have asked, the food has never even registered on the spice scale. Overall, this is a place I avoid. If I am pressed for time or otherwise desperate I will go, but I must learn to lower my expectations.

I had Hunan Garden a while ago and was not excited about it. Now two years later we tried it again, because King Garden closed, and it was pretty good. We had the vegetarian delight and the veggies were lightly steamed (which is perfect). My kids had the House Special lo mien and they loved it. Will eat here again.

This family owned restaurant is located on the hill next to Kmart and is not only a great value, but the food is great! The atmosphere is typical Chinese-American and the wait staff are friendly and efficient. I have tried most items on the menu, but seem to always go back to egg drop soup and the House Special Fried rice. Don't forget the eggrolls! Some of the best egg rolls you will ever have! They have a great and inexpensive lunch menu.
